Description
This rear parking brake backing plate includes separate left and right parts, left OE 46504-60091, right OE 46503-60131, compatible with Prado,4Runner,Hilux and Lexus GX460 (2002–2009 & versions after Aug 2009). It acts as the base carrier for the whole rear parking brake system; brake shoes, adjusters and return springs are mounted on this plate. Cracked, bent or rusted backing plate will lead to parking brake failure, unstable parking and abnormal noise, which is a common worn part for off-road vehicles.
Made of thick steel plate with precision stamping according to OE drawing, all mounting holes, slots and spring positions match perfectly for direct bolt-on replacement without modification. Off-road vehicles often drive through mud, gravel and water, exposed to silt and saltwater.
Black anti-rust coating is applied on surface to resist corrosion.
